I have, hands down, the best husband in the world :) He is so sweet and caring, and he only proved that more this morning when I woke up! I woke up to the sound of Lucie barking out the window at the neighbors, which I thought was strange since I knew Austin had already gotten up and he usually quiets her down when she starts barking.
So anyways, I decide to get out of bed and go to the kitchen to find it completely cleaned (along with the living room) and candles burning. I was a little confused since Austin was no where to be found and there was no note!
I figured that he had just gone to the gym, so I sat down to enjoy our freshly cleaned home and finish the new Nicholas Sparks book, The Longest Ride (which is AMAZING), when Austin walks through the door carrying flowers, a Target bag, and Brueggers Bagels! YUUUM.
He had gone out and gotten me a new Elin Hildenbrand book, Summerland, The Notebook (which for some unknown reason I don't already own), a four-in-one DVD with A Walk to Remember, The Lucky One, Nights in Rondanthe, and Message in a Bottle. SO SWEET. The flowers were beautiful and I got to enjoy a scrumptious breakfast sandwich from Brueggers :) I am one lucky girl!

Re-use Candle Jars!
So today we burned the last of out yankee candle and while it always sucks when your candle runs out, I also realized that we could re-use the jar that the candle was in!
In college, when one of my candles burned out, I made Austin try to scrape all the wax out of the jar using a spoon...needless to say, Austin ended up frustrated and the candle jar ended up in the trash :(
Today I found a quick and easy way to remove all the wax and those metal wick holders at the bottom!
Step 1: Boil water on the stove
Step 2 Pour boiling water into the candle jar
Step 3: Wait. It will take a while for all the wax to melt and start floating to the top of the water. I just let mine sit on the counter for the afternoon while I did other things around the house.
Step 4: Remove hardened wax. Once the wax has all come up to the top of the jar, remove the wax and pour the water down the drain. You can either toss the wax or break it up into pieces to later use in a warmer :)

Here is an image of what happens when you add the boiling water to the jar. It has an almost "lava lamp" type of effect.

Happy Friday!
Happy Friday ! What a week! Just thought that I would share a couple of my favorite songs with you :) Now, they aren't the most current songs, but just a couple that I have been obsessed with lately.
This first song is a recent find by Austin and myself while we were in the car on our way to Iowa. It came on the radio and Austin was in love with it. So now he will randomly scream sing the almost lyrics to this song around the house (mostly while playing Call of Duty). It is so catchy and a great song to workout to! Also a great song to get you in the mood for Friday night!
This one goes along with a big shout out to my older brother Grant. He has always had a unique taste in music and I can always depend on him to suggest to me the strangest most awesomest songs that I most likely would have never discovered on my own. So with that said, keep the suggestions coming Grant! Love ya :)
Enjoy the songs and have a great weekend everyone!

Fun on the Farm
Oh man was it hard to get out of bed this morning! I think it mostly had to due with the fact that Austin and I had gotten back on Sunday from Iowa (a 5 hour car trip) at 3:45pm, took Lucie for a quick walk around the neighborhood, and then met our realtor at 5pm to look at houses. It was exhausting. Who knew that looking at houses could be so draining! But regardless, it was a fun experience and it made me feel like I was an actual married person doing married person things! We saw one house that we absolutely loved, but it was a bit far from Austin's work, so we are hitting the road again on Saturday with Jeff (our realtor) to look at more!
On another note, it was so great that we could make the trip back to Iowa this past weekend and visit my family. Austin and I haven't been home since the wedding and it was great getting to reminisce about our special day. My brothers Grant (older) and Garrett (younger) were each home as well, so we got to get some good sibling bonding time in! Austin also got to join in one of the infamous Grosskruger boys wrestling matches as well! Lucie (our mini-goldendoodle puppy) had a great time on the farm! She loves getting to run free outside, eat cap poop, beat up on Ginger (my family golden retriever), and just be a free spirit. We do however need to work on her recall skills because she does not like to come inside when she is called!
Anywho its Monday, and this girl needs to get back to work! Lunch time to over! Hope everyone has a great week!

Hi Everyone!
Welcome!
My name is Grace Mohr and I am starting this blog to express my thoughts, dreams, everyday shenanigans and maybe also find out a little more about myself along the way.
I've been wanting to start a blog for a while now, but have never actually gotten the nerve to do it! I'm not sure exactly how successful this is going to be, but here goes nothing!
I will try to keep my posts interesting and maybe even thought provoking, but as far as how often they'll come...who knows? Im new to the blog world so please bare with me :)
Enjoy!
